In this course you will participate in three different sports and develop your skills. You will learn basic fitness concepts and learn about the body.

Course components include:

  • Participating in 3 different practical activities
  • Understanding various components of fitness and the body’s energy systems
  • Learning how muscular and skeletal systems work
  • Developing a training plan using methods and principles
  • Developing skills
  • Investigating a current issue related to physical activity
  • Completing 2 key theoretical assignments

Style of learning:

  • Working with others in a team environment
  • Student-centred assignments
  • Involves 60% practical and 40% theory work
