How does our use of language shape ideas and perspective? Explore how a variety of different forms of text are developed. Create written, oral, multimodal, imaginative, interpretive, analytical and persuasive texts.

Course components include:

  • Creating four projects, including at least one oral task, one text analysis (from films, song lyrics, poetry, media, other writers) and one creative text or writing for purpose
  • Conducting ongoing course work such as presentations/podcasts, creative writing, class discussions
  • Studying an intertextual study (associations or connections between texts) to be decided in conjunction with teacher

Style of learning:

  • Essays and presentations, podcasts, creative writing, class discussions and group work
  • Self directed, motivated and sound English Language skills
